The birth of her daughter Marguerite in 1897 forever changed Jeanne Lanvin’s destiny.
A deeply affectionate bond united mother and daughter. Marguerite became her muse, and Jeanne began designing a wardrobe of exquisite dresses for her little girl. The elegant Marguerite quickly attracted attention from the mothers of her friends, who soon became clients of the Lanvin House themselves.
